The following was decided about the upcoming 2006/07 year:

The YKVA League fees is $1300 which includes three tournaments throughout the year

$10 for NWTVA Membership Fees will be collected at registration time

For the 2006-2007 season, you must:

contact Kim Weir to arrange delivery of forms and fees.
contact Terrel Hobbs if you want to start in the second or third round, as a reduced rate.

Here is the official Volleyball Canada team Registration Form, if you want to register a team you MUST contact Terrel Hobbs before Sept 15, 2006.

The YKVA League Rules are posted which govern game play. All team captains are responsible for reading and playing by these rules. The 2006/2007 season runs from September 2006 until the end of April 2007. During this time there will be:

3 Rounds in the Regular Season

Round 1: Final Schedule Sept 25, 2006 - Oct 24, 2006

Round 2: Final Schedule Nov 1, 2006 - Feb 7, 2007

Round 3: Final Schedule Feb 18, 2007 - Apr 25, 2007

3 Tournaments

Fall Tournament: Oct 20-22, 2007 - Contact Rebekah before Friday October 6, 2006
Winter Tournament: Jan 19-21, 2007 - Contact Rebekah before Friday January 5, 2007
Spring Tournament: Apr 27-29, 2007 - Contact Rebekah before Tuesday April 10, 2007

Volleyball Rules/Officiating Clinic:
On Thursday October 19, 2006 at 7:00 we will have a Rules and Officiating clinic, in City Library Meeting Room At this time we will discuss the following:

7 pm - 8 pm: Rules of play and ammendments by YKVA to Volleyball Canada Official rules.

8 pm - 10 pm: More detailed rules, and written exam for Level 1 Official.

ALL teams should send a representative at a minimum to the first part, unless cleared by me. Please send me an email about the October 19 Clinic and let me know who will be attending.
2006/2007 Season: Are you are looking for players, or looking for a team?
Check out the list, or add yourself to the list of players looking for a team.
Sundog Volleyball Club: If you are interested in playing on a Men's or Women's competitive team? The Sundog Volleyball Club usually meets Sundays, 11:00 AM at Sir John High School, and Range Lake North. This club usually enters a few teams into the NWTVA Territorial Open Championships. Fees are $75 per year, if you are interested, please contact Mike Mathison at 873-6453. Here is a list of their Schedule.
